Now, medicinal cannabis is classified under Schedule 8 for products containing THC and Schedule 4 for CBD dominant products. Yes, medical cannabis is fully legal and can be prescribed by any doctor in Australia. 

Doctors who prescribe medical cannabis are required to attain SAS-B or Authorised Prescriber approval via the TGA.
